Michael Robert Wolgamott –Cumberland, IN passed away July 2nd, 2019. Michael was born May 18th, 1940 in Anderson Indiana to Judson Nation and Evelyn Fern Wolgamott.
Mike played football while he attended both Anderson High and graduated from Arsenal Tech in 1959. He was a Tool Die Maker in Indianapolis at Schweitzer International and later focused his attention to detail as an auto body/mechanic and home renovations specialist. When Mike was not working on cars, riding his motorcycle, or improving his homes he would talk about his greater passion of hunting and fishing. He looked forward every year when he could partake to the Deer Season using his rifle, bow and muzzleloader. Mike was an accomplished archer and landed his name in a well-known magazine as a perfect marksman. Mike enjoyed fishing on his boat, with his friends at tournaments and brought home many trophies and a smile.
Mike was a member at Southwood Baptist Church in Beech Grove. He loved being a Bible Class Teacher for adults and providing lessons to the children at Vacation Bible School, singing in the choir, spending time with his friends and brothers, and always looking forward to the next Mission Trip. It was during this period, he added to his interest of activities golfing, participating in the Falcon Club Classic Car Shows, and eager to sport a tune on his karaoke machine.
Mike is survived by his daughters Justine Downard (Ron), Jill McNeil (Jon), Cynthia Secret, Angela Wolgamott (Jack), his siblings Judith Koglin, Mark Wolgamott (Pam), step-daughter Brenda McElhiney (Patrick) and Becky Cunningham (Angie), Step Sons Greg Cunningham (Anne)and Billy Cunningham Jeffrey Rosner, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, family, and extended family Stanton and Bonnie Watts.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carolyn Sue Wolgamott, and former wife Geraldine Wolgamott, sister Sally Poole, and grandson Kevin Browning.
Please join to celebrate Michael’s life at Southwood Baptist Church 501 S. 4th Street Beech Grove, Indiana with visitation on Monday July 8th, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 pm and Funeral Services on Tuesday July 9th at 1:00 pm
